I’ve been given the crappy lie that “God had a plan for her, a plan of love.” No “god” of love would take a loving mother and wife away from a toddler and an adoring husband. You can’t move on unless you forgive. But love can’t hold back the tide of emotion forever. It takes a long time but just take it day by day and I promise you you’ll be ok. It’s corny but so true that time really does heal.

I guess you are talking about the one sided love as you mentioned regarding the handsome guy, which happens to often, but again we need to be careful to let our feelings really flow in such cases. I know it is true, but it gets so hard when you can’t identify what it is that you did wrong? What do you do when love hurts? Yes indeed, to be able to forgive the person who hurt you in a relationship, and learn to move on in life is what’s required, though it’s not all that easy. I guess when we are hurt in love, whether it’s by our kids, spouses, friends, siblings, or just about anyone we care about – it does cause us the same kind of heartache and pain.
But after a process of grieving, it can be so much healthier and more fulfilling to live with reality, to send out love without expectation of what we “should” get in return, to have compassion for someone without a constant eye for what they “should” do for us.
You could even express your feelings in a dairy or journal, so that it’s out of your system and makes you feel lighter. Very often. But learning to have compassion for this other person begins with having compassion for myself. Love incorporates pained emotions at times. When a crisis arrived, pushing them to enter into dark places where they might find hidden parts of themselves, they never bothered to flip those self-illumination switches.

I don’t believe in any “plan” for her. Turning to God isn’t going to take it away.When you had been betrayed by a partner the betrayer and the betrayed are both hurting.. Its one of the most painful things to deal with when people fall out of love.. that love lost physically hurts. Healing within starts when you learn to change the way you interact with the one who hurt you, and how you change yourself when that person responds to you.
